Construction certification and support to facilitate the successful delivery of civil infrastructure for the SunHQ Hydrogen Hub.

Project Overview

Civil certification and technical support services were provided throughout construction of the SunHQ Hydrogen Hub, ensuring the completed civil infrastructure satisfied design intent, regulatory requirements and RPEQ certification standards.

The works included certification and technical review of access roads, hardstand areas, parking, stormwater drainage and associated civil infrastructure, together with site inspections and practical design advice during construction.

Challenges

Coordination with timeframe pressure associated with the lead cosntruction contractor and sub-contractors

Lack of geotechnical information beneath the carparking area required practical solutions through use of geogrid to ensure stability and to keep project timeframes moving

Issues with gaps in design documentation caused issues with setout of key civil infrastructure areas requiring on site assessment of solutions for site regrading with the contractor

Outcomes

Successful compeltion of the works with numerous advices and design amendments on-site in coordiantion with project timeframes and costs.

Timely approval of all civil works and RPEQ certification achieved for all works based on good communication with the contractor and Ark Energy
