Civil IQ delivered the detailed civil engineering design for Stage 1A of the Dugald River Mine camp expansion, supporting new accommodation, site infrastructure and operational facilities. The project included earthworks, drainage, firebreak design and the sewerage treatment plant pad, providing practical engineering solutions within an active mining environment.

Project Overview

MMG Limited engaged Civil IQ to prepare the civil engineering design for Stage 1A of the Dugald River Mine camp expansion near Cloncurry. The project formed part of the mine's capital works program and included the expansion of accommodation facilities together with the design of the sewerage treatment plant pad and associated firebreak infrastructure.

Working within an operational mine required close coordination with existing site infrastructure, vehicle access requirements and environmental constraints. Civil IQ delivered practical earthworks, drainage and access solutions that supported construction while minimising unnecessary clearing and integrating with the mine's ongoing operations.
