The project included sediment basins, evaporation areas, embankments and associated civil infrastructure to support stormwater treatment, operational access and long-term site performance.

Project Overview

Evolution Mining engaged Civil IQ to undertake the detailed civil design for three key areas of the Ernest Henry Mine: the Production Evaporation Area, Sediment Basins and the Tailings Evaporation Area. The project involved the design of civil earthworks, embankments, drainage systems, access roads and associated infrastructure to support the mine's ongoing water management program.

Working within an active mining environment required practical design solutions that integrated with existing infrastructure while providing safe maintenance access and efficient stormwater management. Civil IQ delivered coordinated, RPEQ-certified designs that balanced operational requirements with constructability.
