Detailed civil engineering design for two upgraded intersections within Lavarack Barracks, improving heavy vehicle access, road geometry and operational functionality as part of the Defence Capital Works program.

Project Overview

Civil IQ was engaged to prepare the detailed design for two intersections at key road network locations as part of the Lavarack Barracks Capitals Works program.

The existing intersections required road widening to allow for turning paths of the large HX81 Defence vehicles.

The project was a Design and Construct contract with Shamrock Civil Engineering.

Challenges
