Project Overview

Burdekin Shire Council engaged Civil IQ to develop its first Development Manual as part of the Planning Scheme framework. The project involved preparing a comprehensive Design Manual, Technical Specifications and Standard Drawings to provide a consistent engineering standard for future development across the region.

The manual was developed in close collaboration with Council staff, adapting leading industry practice to reflect the Burdekin's unique regional conditions, planning requirements and operational experience.
