Civil IQ provided detailed civil and geotechnical design for remediation of a failed gabion wall supporting a Defence Training Facility access road in the Tully Defence Training Area. The works restored embankment stability while maintaining access to an operational Defence facility.

Project Overview

Civil IQ was engaged to investigate and design remediation works for approximately 40 metres of failed gabion wall supporting a key Defence access road adjacent to Jarra Creek. The project combined geotechnical investigations, slope stability assessment, detailed civil design, pavement design and stormwater management to deliver a practical construction solution within a constrained environment.
