Project Overview
The Ross River Riparian Recovery Project involved the remediation of eroded embankments adjacent to Oonoonba in Townsville, improving long-term stability while protecting the surrounding river environment.
Working alongside Townsville City Council under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements, Civil IQ delivered civil, environmental and geotechnical design services, navigating the complex approval requirements associated with construction in tidal areas.
The project was completed ahead of the 2022 wet season and continues to perform successfully following several significant wet seasons, demonstrating the durability of the design and construction outcomes.
