Project Overview
Civil IQ was engaged for the $2 million upgrade to the North Wall Recreational Area, delivering new amenities and improved public access at this iconic Mackay coastline location.
The project was developed with input from community stakeholders including Yuwi Aboriginal Corporation, Mackay and District Turtle Watch, and NQBP’s Port of Mackay Community Reference Group.
Improvements consisted of a sealed car park with increased parking spaces, an overflow area adjacent to the car park, improved footpaths, educational signage and an increase of facilities such as seating and shade
